Expansion pack question?

I have a question about expansion packs. I have a game installed on my computer (Rise of Nations if it matters) and the expansion pack of it (Thrones + Patriots) and I am wondering that because I have both installed, can I uninstall the original game and still play the expansion pack? Thanks.
