Who can help me? I need help for sims 3!?

I have researched on how to fix it and another yahoo answer told me to reinstall everything and I have just recently installed some new hair styles and stuff from the store I have the sims 3 (regular) and world adventures. I updated the game and after that it wont let me do anything past the launcher, when ever I try to uninstall the stuff its says " You're sims 3 data base game is incompatible with the current expansion pack. Please update you're game via the game launcher." But every time I do that it won't let me, in fact I have already updated my game. Can anyone help me please?
