Is World of Warcraft Old now?

Ok the date is June 28th 2011, Cata's been out and 4.2 patch just came out and blablabla but what i want to know is, is this game old now? i mean there coming out with another expansion in 2013 and they said its going to be i quote from the boss of wow "******* Awsome" and other places said even better than BC was. I guess what i want to know is, is there more players still? like last year i think it was 12.5 million subscribers is the number going to hit 13? or is it going to decline backwards to 12?
