Christians, could you explain to others what is meant by 'the carnal nature'?

A "Carnal" nature varies from the secular belief of "Mankind doing wrong ....Believers acknowledge God's interpretation of "carnal nature," In that God has "THE LAW" set aside from mankinds Laws. Even though many mirror each other as in "Not Murdering anyone" and the like, God's Laws of life and nature are specifically offensive to him and they affect man's spirit and ability to connect spiritually and permanently with God....Man's secular offensive have little affect on the individual, but normally affect the person being offended instead.
